YASIF Nigeria has entered into a strategic partnership with the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) to expand its work in climate resilience, community development, and sustainable livelihoods across Nigeria.
The partnership was launched through the inception of the Community Resilience for Inclusive Sustainable Environment (Community RISE) Project, a one-year initiative that will support vulnerable communities through interventions in climate resilience, youth and women’s empowerment, waste management, community mobilization, and capacity strengthening.

The project is being implemented through a consortium led by the Justice Development and Peace Caritas Initiative (JDPCI), with YASIF Nigeria working alongside Big Family 360 Foundation and the Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI). By combining the expertise of each organization, the consortium will deliver coordinated interventions that respond to the needs of participating communities.
As an implementing partner, YASIF will lead key areas of the project, drawing on its experience in youth engagement, community mobilisation, climate action, and inclusive development to support implementation throughout the project period.
Speaking on the partnership, Blessing Ewa, Executive Director of YASIF Nigeria, described the collaboration as an important step in expanding the organization’s reach and impact.
“This partnership creates new opportunities to work alongside communities in addressing some of their most pressing development challenges. Through the Community RISE Project, we will continue supporting practical, community-driven solutions that strengthen resilience, expand opportunities for women and young people, and contribute to sustainable development.”
