YASIF Nigeria marked International Youth Day 2026 with a webinar on this year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”
The webinar featured Nsikak Kenneth Umoh, Public Health Strategist, Gender & Youth Development and Climate & Health Advocate, who spoke on “Young, But Not Powerless: Turning Today’s Challenges into Personal and Community Action.” she spoke about the challenges young people face and how they can respond to them through the choices they make, the skills they develop and the roles they play in their communities.
Samuel Tokpaf, CEO of Connected Humanitarian Support Foundation and Chief Technology Officer, Sambus Geospatial, spoke on “Youth Innovation: From Ideas to Solutions.” He focused on how young people can take problems they see around them, develop ideas and turn those ideas into solutions.
Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions and contribute to the discussion.
The webinar was part of YASIF’s activities to mark International Youth Day and recognise the work and contributions of young people within YASIF and beyond.
Different contexts. Common aspirations.
